Dr Kevin Traub was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Springfield, Massachusetts. He earned a Bachelor of Science at the University of Texas – Austin in Chemistry and attended medical school in New York City at the New York University School of Medicine.
Dr Traub completed a six year training program in Urology at the University of Texas – Dallas Medical Center and Parkland Memorial Hospital. He has been board-certified since 2004 and has hospital privileges at both St. Margaret Hospital and Butler Memorial Hospital.
He is an active member of the St Margaret Oncology Cancer Committee and routinely participates in the St Margaret Tumor Board where the complex and challenging cancer cases are discussed with a multi-disciplinary approach.
Dr. Traub treats most diseases, cancers and surgical conditions of the kidneys, ureters, bladder and prostate as well as the urethra and male genitalia. His expertise also includes the management and treatment of urinary stones, both male and female urinary incontinence, complicated and recurrent urinary tract infections, blood in the urine as well as many other urologic symptoms, diseases and surgical conditions.
His surgical skills include both minor and major open surgical techniques, minimally-invasive procedures, cystoscopic and endoscopic procedures as well as major laparoscopic surgeries. Dr. Traub routinely utilizes Holmium lasers and offers Green-Light laser surgery for the prostate. He incorporates the latest cautery equipment in his surgeries to minimize the amount of blood lost during his procedures.
